It's not a bib, Mom. It's a cape! Thanks to Abbey for taking and sending me these pictures.

Pasta & Practicing
June loves pasta. I'm not sure she even chews, she swallows it that fast. When I stopped giving her more she yelled at me and arched back in her chair. We usually wipe her hands and face with diaper wipes, but the wipes were no match for red sauce. Her hands got washed at the kitchen faucet last night :)
June practices standing unassisted more and more. Her balance in improving by the day. She doesn't like to have her hands held, so helping her take steps requires a bit of creativity. She will face us and stand up, holding onto our pants. Then we walk backward as she walks forward. Whatever works!
After dinner we took some selfies, blurry ones because June is always on the move.

Morning Fun
The appraisal of our current house was this morning and Justin also had an appointment, so we both got some extra time with Junie which was a nice treat. As usual she was awake bright and early at 5 AM and by 6:00 was acting tired so I put her back in her crib to sleep for an hour. I gave Justin the monitor and told him I wanted to rest for about 45 minutes.
June had other ideas and protested going back to sleep more than she usually does. From behind the closed bedroom door I could hear Justin go in to the nursery to get her and then periodic bouts of her yelling in the living room. I resisted the urge to get out of bed and instead stayed put, eventually falling asleep for about 15 minutes. Thankfully she settled down for him after about ten minutes.
After I left this morning Justin sent me these. It's fun to see pictures from when the two of them are hanging out. Girl cracks me up! The hair behind her ears is growing out and doesn't want to stay tucked beind them, and she looks just a little nutty in the second picture.

Weekend in Pictures
June loves to pull up along our picture window and look outside. She's still too short to be able to see straight out, but she can see the trees and sky above. She stands on her tip-toes to try to get a better view :)
Saturday morning we did some epic playing. June loves to pull everything out of her toy basket and then drag items around the living room. Here she is taking a break from her strenuous play regimen:
We couldn't squeeze Rosco in for the selfie but he was with us :)

We have recently started letting June play with the remote control. And she has figured out that when she pushes buttons it does things to the TV. Cue us removing the batteries before giving it to her.
Yesterday it was nearly 80 degrees in Iowa City. It was a very windy weekend, and was still windy yesterday but we took advantage of the nice weather to go for a walk. Historically June has refused to keep hats or sunglasses on. Yesterday for some reason she didn't mess with either! Which was great, because it was a very sunny day. June's giraffe, Sophie, accompanied us on our walk. June didn't play with her at all, just held onto Sophie's leg. I'm excited for Spring and Summer so we can be outside more.
